Feeling Creative? Host Your Own Special Event to Support ChristianaCare
Do you have a unique fundraising idea that your friends and family would enjoy?
If you want to take that extra step to customize an event—whether it’s a 5K run, an afternoon tea, a beef and beer, or something completely different—we can help you get started and show you ways to make it a success!
Any individual or organization wishing to conduct a fundraising event or promotion involving the use of the name ChristianaCare must receive written approval from the Office of Development in advance. The approval process can take up to four weeks.
Our experienced staff will be happy to meet with you to help you conceptualize your event, as well as assist in designating a specific area of interest that is meaningful to you.
It will then be up to you (and whatever friends are helping you) to get to work!
- Social media makes it faster and easier than ever before to develop your mailing lists and spread the news of your event.
- You will obtain necessary permits, license, and insurance coverage (Note: we will provide a letter of authorization to validate the event authenticity for insurance purposes. We will not provide reimbursement).
- You will staff your event and solicit celebrity attendance or vendor support/sponsorship for your fundraising activities.
- We can approve use of the Christiana care logo, provide ChristianaCare letterhead and publicize the event within ChristianaCare.
What are the guidelines for planning my event?
As a not for profit, ChristianaCare follows certain federal guidelines and IRS regulations for charitable giving and acknowledgements. Events must complement the mission, image and core values of ChristianaCare and be approved in writing.
