Perioperative Evaluation and Preparation (PEP) Process and Team

The Tour

Your surgeon has scheduled you to have surgery at a ChristianaCare facility, which includes Christiana Hospital, Christiana Surgicenter, Wilmington Hospital, and Roxana Cannon Arsht Surgicenter.

Your surgeon’s office will call the ChristianaCare Surgical Scheduling Department and request a date and time for your surgery.

Please follow the steps below.

1. What To Expect

A representative from ChristianaCare’s Admitting and PEP Department will contact you by phone to pre-register you for your procedure. Be prepared to provide your health insurance information. You will also be scheduled for a telephone interview with the PEP Nurse to review your pre-anesthesia information. The PEP Nurse phone appointment is a required and important part of having a positive surgical outcome.
