Ryan Haydu, MBA, has an extensive background in business management, marketing and leading teams to deliver high-quality solutions to create an exceptional experience for customers and patients.
Ryan’s contributions at ChristianaCare demonstrate his passion for building successful programs, quality-driven processes, and leading a team of highly-engaged professionals. In his first few years, Ryan transformed the Kidney Transplant Program by introducing a broad range of technologies and process improvements to deliver better quality and patient-focused solutions. As a result, the team is now able to serve patients sooner and better than most other transplant programs in the region. While Ryan has a careful eye on healthcare costs and spending, he’s very competitive with his team’s outreach and community-engagement events. He is a firm believer there’s no better kidney transplant program in the region for Delawareans.
Ryan’s experience at ChristianaCare also included a year-and-a-half of service as the interim administrative director for Surgical Services & Department of Surgery. In this role he participated in a broad range of tasks that included management of contracts, budget and billing oversight. As that interim role was later split and filled by other professionals, Ryan remained in service to the service line and department to coordinate strategic plan development and brand management efforts for the general surgery, bariatric surgery and the wound care programs.
Prior to ChristianaCare, Ryan developed 14 years of tremendous experience in the pharmaceutical industry in a variety of roles ranging from sales, analytics, project management, resource allocation and business planning. At AstraZeneca in Wilmington, he managed a high-performing team of analysts and project managers providing operational solutions for promotional channels; led brand and channel teams through key projects and transformational business events; and presented design recommendations to senior leaders while addressing trade-offs and impacts. Ryan received AstraZeneca’s prestigious 2012 President’s Award for his work in leading the entire sales organization through a restructuring and the roll-out of a new customer-facing model, which improved the quality of relationships while reducing costs.
Mr. Haydu received his MBA in marketing from Case Western Reserve University, a Master of Arts in communication from the University of Akron, and a Bachelor of Arts in organizational communication from Youngstown State University.
