The Value Institute‘s Center for Outcomes Research studies pressing health care issues in real-world settings, analyzing alternative technologies, processes and programs.
Established at Christiana Care Health System in 2005 and led by William S. Weintraub, M.D., FACC, the center provided a foundation for the creation of the Value Institute, bringing its established reputation and experienced team of clinical outcomes researchers, biostatisticians and data analysts.
The center investigates strategies for preventing, diagnosing, treating and monitoring medical conditions. The resulting comparative effectiveness information is disseminated through peer-reviewed academic conferences and journals.
The center engages in collaborations with investigators from other institutions, nationally and internationally, including functioning as a data-coordinating and statistical center for nationally funded, multi-center clinical research.
Focusing on clinical and translational research, the center offers specific expertise in evaluating quality-of-life and cost-effectiveness endpoints.
