The Center for Quality and Patient Safety, led by Sharon Anderson, RN, BSN, MS, FACHE develops nationally recognized quality and safety programs along with the ability to capture and report the results. The center is an integral component of the Value Institute.
Focusing on quality and safety brings value to patient care by identifying and promoting ways to eliminate preventable harm, improve quality of care through evidence-based practice and enhance the patient experience. The center works to create a safe culture at Christiana Care, achieve high reliability in care and leverage technology to continuously improve quality and safety practices.
The center’s quality reporting data system enables rapid learning from newly introduced clinical interventions and system of care innovations. The reporting system also facilitates the sharing of lessons learned at Christiana Care Health System with institutions across the country.
