Jenn Schwartz joined ChristianaCare in 2018 and serves as Chief Strategy and Legal Officer, reporting directly to President and CEO Janice E. Nevin, M.D., MPH. As a key member of the senior leadership team, Jenn is responsible for shaping the organization’s strategic direction and future vision, identifying and pursuing opportunities that advance ChristianaCare’s mission and objectives.
In her dual role, Jenn oversees all legal affairs, providing counsel to senior leadership and the Boards of Directors. She also has responsibility for Population Health, Corporate Compliance, the Center for Virtual Health, and the Gene Editing Institute.
Jenn’s leadership in strategic partnerships is a defining aspect of her role. She spearheads system-level initiatives that align and integrate ChristianaCare’s ambulatory strategy, including new clinical and business models, consumer-centric approaches, and innovative collaborations. Her oversight ensures these partnerships move seamlessly from concept to execution and ongoing operations. Jenn’s work has resulted in successful ventures that expand ChristianaCare’s reach and enhance patient care across the region.
Before joining ChristianaCare, Jenn was vice president of legal affairs and general counsel for Lourdes Health System, and chief executive director of the LHS Health Network Accountable Care Organization. There, she led legal matters for a three-hospital system, participated in operational oversight, and spearheaded strategic, revenue-generating initiatives. As chief executive director, she built one of New Jersey’s largest Accountable Care Organizations consisting of over 200 primary care physicians.
Earlier in her career, Jenn was a partner at Fox Rothschild, LLP, and Gluck Walrath, LLP, representing hospitals and providers in areas such as health care reform, physician alignment, reimbursement, regulatory compliance, strategic affiliations, and risk management. Jenn holds a Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Widener University School of Law and a Bachelor’s degree from Denison University in Ohio.
