Paying for Care
We understand that one of the first questions you may have about in-home care is how to pay for it. ChristianaCare HomeHealth is a Medicare-certified agency and accepts a variety of insurance plans. Our skilled in-home care is covered by these providers:
Medicare: A federally funded program, primarily for those ages 65 and older. Home care is fully covered when care meets coverage criteria.
Medicaid: A program funded by federal and state governments, primarily for those with limited resources and income.
Private health insurance: Employer-sponsored as well as individually-purchased insurance, managed care programs, and long-term care insurance.
Private pay/out-of-pocket: Using your own money to pay for services.
Please note that most insurances have specific criteria that must be met for eligibility and there may be limits to what they cover.
