Pregnancy Termination

Finding out you are pregnant can bring up a lot of questions and concerns. You can trust the ChristianaCare Center for Reproductive Health to be with you every step of the way, from testing to confirm a pregnancy to understanding all of your available care options, including abortion. You can expect a welcoming, confidential atmosphere and comprehensive health counseling from our highly-trained staff.

We provide expert, confidential, compassionate care to all people who need to end their pregnancies, for whatever reason, including elective abortion, treatment for miscarriage or fetal death, and pregnancy termination due to health problems of the fetus or mother.

Understanding the Options

Our team will be with you to answer questions and help you understand the options available to you in a place where you feel comfortable. The earlier you are along in your pregnancy, the more options you are likely to have.

Our pregnancy termination services are available from early in the first trimester to 23 weeks gestation and include:

  • The option of taking a pill to end the pregnancy if less than 10 weeks gestation.
  • A procedure in the office for those up to 12 weeks. 
  • Surgical termination services available in an operating room, for patients up to 23 weeks.

You will be treated with compassion and respect while receiving personalized, evidence-based care.

In all cases, our team will provide support and education to help address any questions or concerns you may have for what to expect after the pregnancy is terminated.

Payment for abortion services is covered by many insurance plans. Some patients may be eligible for financial assistance. We're happy to help you navigate coverage for these options.

Resources

ChristianaCare works with other community organizations to assist those with financial challenges related to abortion care. 

Our practice also has access to the Justice Fund, which provides partial financial assistance to patients who are unable to pay fully for their care.
