Primary Care Services

Medical Group

The Medical Group has community-based primary-care and specialty care.

Who We Are

When you choose a doctor or practice that is a part of the Medical Group of ChristianaCare, you benefit from the resources and added efficiency that these practices offer.

The Medical Group comprises community-based primary-care physician and specialty-care practices. We are doctors, nurse practitioners, physician assistants and other caregivers employed by ChristianaCare. Managing these practices as a group enables better support for physicians and the ability to serve patients more effectively. Additionally, the Medical Group uses electronic health records to support and promote its patient care quality initiatives.

The Medical Group includes primary care practices and specialty care partners in Delaware and New Jersey. The Medical Group is also partnering with ChristianaCare hospitalists to improve our patients’ continuity of care from primary care to hospital care and back again.

Objectives

The Medical Group of ChristianaCare’s objectives are to:

  • Work together as a multispecialty group that utilizes best practices and measurable results to deliver safe, accessible, quality, healthcare to the patients we serve.
  • Grow our patient base and support ChristianaCare for primary, specialty, and tertiary care services in the communities it serves.
  • Ensure financial stability of the practices in service to the Health System.
  • Support the educational, research and clinical missions to enhance CCHS’ reputation and market share.

The Medical Group serves its patients by treating the sick to make them healthy, as well as caring for the healthy to keep them well.
