Raising Children

We’re here to provide guidance in raising a child.

Raising your children to be well-rounded individuals takes a lot of work – but the rewards are incredible. Their physical, emotional, social and intellectual development is in your hands.

But don’t worry! We’re here to provide you with guidance, resources and advice in all areas of raising a child, including development, immunization, allergies, disabilities, mental health, general care, how to deal with bullies and more.

Understanding your child’s changing and emerging growth is an important part of parenting. Each child is an individual and develops at slightly different rates but we can still help guide you through the stages of development.
Choosing child care for your baby is a very tough decision for many mothers, especially for a first child. In some cases, the parents can arrange their work schedules so that one of them can stay home with the baby. Others can ask a grandparent or other trusted family member to provide care.
Allergies are problems of the immune system. Most allergic reactions happen when the immune system reacts to a “false alarm.” Normally, the human body defends itself against harmful things, such as viruses or bacteria.
Watching your child get a shot isn’t easy. It’s even harder if you have fears or concerns about the safety or necessity of the vaccine. Millions of parents immunize their kids each year without concern.
Raising a child with disabilities comes with its challenges, and depending on the nature of the disability, this can become exhausting for a parent who has to care for others and themselves at the same time. There are also financial considerations and of course the emotional effects of having a disabled child.
Explaining menstruation to your daughter is important so that she can feel comfortable with the changes in her body as she goes through puberty. It’s also a great way to bond and show her you’re there for her through this time in her life, as well as how to observe proper hygiene and health.
