Neil Jasani, M.D., MBA, FACEP

Neil Jasani, M.D., MBA, FACEP, is ChristianaCare’s Chief Clinical Officer and reports directly to ChristianaCare President and CEO Janice E. Nevin, M.D., MPH.

Dr. Jasani partners with other physician leaders to oversee the organization’s work in clinical effectiveness and patient experience. He also leads Academic Affairs, Medical Affairs, the Office for Scientific Research and the Institute for Learning, Leadership & Development (iLEAD), and also serves as ChristianaCare’s Chief Academic Officer.

As a collaborative leader with vast experience in both academic and clinical settings, Dr. Jasani works to strengthen relationships with physicians and clinicians across the system.

Dr. Jasani previously served as ChristianaCare’s Chief People Officer. He was instrumental in overseeing ChristianaCare’s favorable workplace culture and navigating the workforce challenges through the COVID pandemic, as the health system received multiple recognitions from Forbes as a top employer in the region and nationally. Prior to that role, Dr. Jasani was vice president of Academic Affairs, as well as the designated institutional official (DIO) for graduate medical education.

He is a professor of Emergency Medicine and assistant dean for Academic Affairs at Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University and an affiliated professor in the College of Health Sciences at the University of Delaware.

Dr. Jasani has an extensive background in graduate medical education, having served as the program director for Emergency Medicine from 2007 to 2013 and as associate program director before that. He is a national leader in quality and safety, serving as an independent examiner for the renowned Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award.

He graduated from Georgetown University School of Medicine and completed his emergency medicine residency at ChristianaCare. He received a physician executive MBA from the Haslam College of Business at the University of Tennessee at Knoxville and has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and presentations.
