Gender Wellness Program

Supporting transgender and gender-diverse individuals.

Services

The Gender Wellness Program provides gender-affirming behavioral health services to transgender and gender-diverse individuals who are exploring their gender identity or need support around their social or medical transition. The program follows the guidelines of the World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH) and provides a safe and affirming space for the individual.

Emotional difficulties such as depression, anxiety, and other conditions are treated in conjunction with gender identity exploration or transition.

ChristianaCare’s Gender Wellness Program services include:

  • Individual therapy.
  • Couples and family therapy.
  • Group therapy.
  • Referrals to gender-affirming medical providers.
  • Assistance with personal documentation changes for existing patients.
  • Letters of surgical support for existing patients.
  • Age range: 16 and up.
