Gender Wellness Program

Supporting transgender and gender-diverse individuals.

Services

The Gender Wellness Program is a behavioral health program that provides gender-affirming psychotherapy for all transgender and gender-diverse individuals (TGD).

Many people seek treatment to better understand their gender identity and receive support around medical transition, while other TGD individuals are looking for help to treat general mental health concerns such as anxiety, depression, grief, etc.

We also provide short term supportive therapy for partners and loved ones of transgender and gender diverse persons.

ChristianaCare’s Gender Wellness Program services include:
  • Individual therapy.
  • Couples and family therapy.
  • Group therapy.
  • Referrals to gender-affirming medical providers.
  • Assistance with personal documentation changes for existing patients.
  • Letters of surgical support for existing patients.
  • Age range: 16 and up.
