Cancer Support

Life-changing for patients and their families, we take the fight to cancer with the latest treatments and innovations.

Home to one of the most advanced cancer centers in the country, ChristianaCare’s Helen F. Graham Cancer Center & Research Institute was one of the first centers in the nation selected for the National Cancer Institute Community Centers Program that ran from 2007 to 2014, which helped to shape the way cancer care is delivered across the country.

We understand that women are at risk of certain cancers which is why our gynecologic oncologists are specially trained to care for women with gynecologic cancers such as cervical cancer, endometrial or uterine cancer, and ovarian cancer.

Together with our experts and world-class facilities, we provide a vast array of specialist cancer outpatient services for women under one roof, making care more convenient, efficient and effective.

Technology and Leadership

The Helen F. Graham Cancer Center & Research Institute is home to some of the most advanced cancer-fighting technology in the world, including the Cyberknife Robotic Radiosurgery System and the da Vinci Robotic Surgery System. Our Breast Center features Delaware’s only dedicated breast MRI scanner. Our cancer clinical trials program is one of a select group of research centers in the country that participate in the National Cancer Institute’s NCI Community Oncology Research Program (NCORP).

With one of the highest clinical-trial accrual rates in the United States, we are able to provide our female patients with access to the most promising new cancer treatments available. We are also leading the way in translational research, which allows doctors and laboratory researchers to collaborate in developing new solutions to challenges that may arise in the course of treating individual patients.
