Our Progress

Neighborhood Hospital Now Open!

ChristianaCare is committed to serving the Aston community with love and excellence. We are carefully planning and designing an innovative, state-of-the-art health and wellness space that will best serve your needs for years to come.

Completed Work:
  • Construction and facility preparation are well underway, with major structural steel work, electrical infrastructure, and site readiness activities progressing as planned.
  • Health Center planning and design are complete, including definition of services—primary care with embedded behavioral health, cardiology, diagnostics, and imaging.
Work in Progress:
  • Preparing for opening day events
  • Construction continues toward major milestones, including achieving weather‑tight building status and preparing interior spaces for equipment installation and activation.
  • Staffing and provider recruitment efforts are ongoing
What's Next
  • Facility turnover for the Health Center is targeted for September, enabling move‑in, equipment installation, and final activation tasks ahead of opening.
  • Community engagement will increase, including participation in events and various community meet and greets
  • Final preparations for opening of the Neighborhood Hospital's first patient day
