FAQs

Guided by our values, a Medical Assistant or MA, is a medical professional who is responsible for working alongside physicians & advanced practitioners in outpatient & ambulatory facilities, such as medical offices and clinics.

Medical assisting is an awarding career but may not be the right career for everyone. The best Medical Assistants have very strong communication skills and customer service skills, are dependable, can handle high levels of stress, and are empathetic to patients and others. In addition, Medical Assistants must pay close attention to detail and have excellent visual acuity and manual dexterity. Finally, professional Medical Assistants must always have a strong level of integrity and self-control and the ability to be empathetic and courteous.
