Our Nursing Journey

ChristianaCare nurses model Excellence and Love as they serve together.

A Message from Danielle

Dear Colleague,

Nursing at ChristianaCare is truly extraordinary. It is my privilege to work alongside the more than 4,000 nursing caregivers who bring love and excellence to every aspect of care delivery. United by our Nursing Mission, our nursing caregivers provide high-quality, exceptional care experiences for every patient, every day — through meaningful partnership with our neighbors, colleagues and one another.

ChristianaCare is proud to be a Magnet®-designated health system four times over for our Christiana and Wilmington hospitals, Ambulatory Services and ChristianaCare HomeHealth. Our nurses are also regularly recognized nationally, both as individuals and as teams. These honors reflect a nursing culture grounded in excellence, professionalism and a deep commitment to those we serve.

These distinctions affirm what happens in practice across all settings. At the bedside and beyond, our caregivers deliver expert, compassionate care rooted in clinical excellence and human connection. They lead research that advances care well beyond our walls, and they build inclusive teams where trust, shared governance and curiosity are part of daily work.

Guided by our Nursing Vision — to be the transformative and intellectual force improving health through the evolving art and science of nursing — our nurses continuously seek better ways to care, lead, and innovate. Nurses are essential partners in care delivery, and we are deeply invested in supporting their professional journeys. Through continuing education, mentorship and clinical ladder pathways, we encourage our nurses to expand their practice and lead meaningful change.

Explore our programs, meet our caregivers and discover the many ways our nurses lead with love and excellence every day.

Warmly,

Danielle
