Getting Started

ChristianaCare MyChart is the new patient portal launching on October 3, 2026. MyChart makes it easier to stay connected to your care. With MyChart you can:

  • Schedule medical appointments.
  • View your health information, including medications, allergies, test results, and more.
  • Request medication refills.
  • Access resources for trusted health information.
  • Message your care team.

You can create a ChristianaCare MyChart account to securely access your health information online. If you receive an activation code from ChristianaCare in your After Visit Summary, email, or text message, follow the instructions provided to activate your account.

If you don't have an activation code:

  • Visit the ChristianaCare MyChart login page and select Sign Up Now.
  • Follow the prompts to verify your identity and create your ChristianaCare MyChart account.

You need access to one of the following:

  • A computer connected to the internet and an up-to-date browser (such as Edge, Chrome, Firefox, or Safari)
  • A mobile device or tablet with the most recent operating system and the MyChart mobile app
  • You also need an email address or a phone number that can receive text messages.

MyChart might look a little different depending on if you are using a web browser on your computer or the MyChart mobile app on your phone.

Web Browser

  • Go to the ChristianaCare MyChart website.
  • Enter your MyChart username and select Continue.
  • Enter your password and select Log In.

Mobile App

  • Open the MyChart app and search for ChristianaCare.
  • Enter your MyChart username and select Continue.
  • Enter your password and select Log In.

The MyChart mobile app is available at no cost in the Apple App Store and Google Play. If you do not have a smartphone, you can continue to receive care and communicate with ChristianaCare through existing channels. Assistance, printed materials, and other support resources will be available.

MyChart is available in both English and Spanish. The default setting is English. To change to the Spanish version, click the “Ver en Español” link in the upper right corner of any page. This setting changes menus, headings, text on the pages to Spanish. Notes and messages from your care team will appear in the language they are written and will not be translated.

If you enter incorrect login information too many times, your account may be locked for security reasons. If this happens, contact the ChristianaCare MyChart Help Desk for assistance resetting your password and restoring access to your account. Contact information can be found on the ChristianaCare MyChart login page or FAQ page.

Appointments

To schedule or request an appointment, go to Find Care > Schedule an Appointment.

Depending on the type of visit and scheduling options available, you may be able to schedule the appointment directly through MyChart or submit a request for a ChristianaCare scheduling representative to contact you.

You can save time and minimize contact by verifying your information and answering appointment-related questions before you arrive. Log in to MyChart and look for the Get Ready option for your upcoming appointment.

Yes. You can view the details of your upcoming appointment, confirm your appointment or even complete your eCheck-in. If a red "Cancel Appointment" link does not appear to the left of an upcoming appointment, you will not be able to cancel that appointment using MyChart. Please call your provider's office to cancel this appointment.

If you need to cancel your appointment, please cancel or reschedule as soon as you know you cannot make it or at least two business days in advance. This will allow us time to contact another patient so they can use this appointment time. In some cases, cancelling within 24 hours or failing to arrive for an appointment may result in a fee. Please follow the cancellations policies established by your provider.

Shared Accounts

Yes. If you have proxy access to another person's MyChart account, you might be able to give an app access to their health information. During the sharing process, you select whose information to share. The app can access information for only the person you select.

To authorize an app:

  • Start the sharing process. This happens from within the ChristianaCare MyChart app.
  • When prompted, log in to your MyChart account.
  • If you have access to another person's account, such as a child, select whose information to share.
  • Review how the app uses the information.
  • Choose which types of information to share and how long the app has access.
  • Confirm that you want to share the information.

In MyChart, go to the Linked Apps and Devices activity to see the apps that can access your health information. This page shows each app's name, what information it can access, and when its access expires.

The Who's Accessed My Record? page in MyChart shows a history of each app's access. You can see the name of each app, the date and time of access, and the type of information accessed.

To see access history:

  • Go to Document Center.
  • Select Who's Accessed My Record?
  • From the dropdown menu, select Third-Party Apps.
  • If you shared your information with an app using MyChart Central, access records appear at each organization from which you shared your health information.

Yes. You need a ChristianaCare MyChart account to access your ChristianaCare information. If you use MyChart at more than one health system, you can use MyChart Central to link multiple MyChart accounts for a more convenient experience.

There are several ways to share your medical record, depending on who needs to access it.

You can use the Share Everywhere feature in MyChart to give any provider temporary access to basic information in your chart. For example, this can be helpful if you are away from home on a trip and need medical care. Just go to the Share Everywhere activity and follow the prompts to give someone access.

Care Everywhere lets your healthcare provider securely access and update your record from other healthcare organizations so that they can provide the best care for you.

You can request proxy access to a family member's ChristianaCare MyChart account. Proxy access allows you to view their health information and manage certain aspects of their care through your own MyChart account.

You may also grant a family member or trusted caregiver access to your ChristianaCare MyChart account if you would like help managing appointments, medications, or other healthcare needs.

ChristianaCare's proxy access policies are based on patient age, privacy laws, and applicable consent requirements. Access levels may vary depending on the patient's age and relationship to the proxy.

Proxy access to a child's account changes as they get older. Because each organization has their own interpretation of state and federal legislation that guarantees privacy rights to adolescents, each organization determines the ages at which proxy access might become limited or be removed.

If you have questions about limited access to your child's MyChart account, contact ChristianaCare directly to address your concerns.

Most ChristianaCare MyChart messages receive a response within three business days. MyChart messaging should only be used for non-urgent medical questions. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 immediately or seek emergency medical care.

Results

With MyChart, you can view test results as soon as they become available, rather than waiting for a phone call or letter from your healthcare provider. To view test results, go to Test Results. Select a test to see more information about it, such as:

  • The standard range for the result
  • Any additional comments your provider entered about your results

To receive emails or text messages when new results are available in MyChart:

  • Go to Account Settings > Communication Preferences.
  • Under Details, expand the Health section.
  • Select Advanced Settings.
  • Under the Test Result section, toggle the slider next to the communication option you prefer. When it is green with a checkmark, the communication type is enabled for test result notifications.
  • Select Save Changes.

You will receive a notification in MyChart when a test result has been released. If you would like to receive one notification for all new test results per day instead of individual notifications, navigate to your health details under Communication Preferences, go to Test Results, and select the box to receive a daily summary. You will receive one notification of test results between 8-10 a.m. on weekdays.

Your complete medical record may not be available within MyChart. To request your full ChristianaCare medical record, you can:

  • Submit a request through the ChristianaCare Health Information Management (HIM) Department, or
  • Request records through the Sharing Hub in MyChart.

Go to My Record > Health Summary and select the Immunizations tab. Here, you can see the immunizations you’ve received and the dates on which you received them. Select the immunization’s name to learn more. If your immunizations are not up to date, contact ChristianaCare to have your information updated.
