Anna B. Filip, M.D., is a family medicine physician at ChristianaCare. She is the associate program director of the Family Medicine residency program and practices clinically at the Family Medicine Center at Wilmington Primary Care. She joined ChristianaCare most recently as assistant residency director and associate professor of medicine with the Department of Family Medicine, Alpert Medical School of Brown University and family physician at Thundermist Health Center, with hospital appointments at Memorial Hospital of Rhode Island and Kent County Hospital. Dr. Filip is board-certified in family medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine.
Dr. Filip earned her medical degree from Thomas Jefferson University Medical College and completed her residency in family and community medicine at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. She completed the Brown University Department of Family Medicine Faculty Development in Global Health Fellowship.
Dr. Filip has served as a resident faculty preceptor and advisor, procedural skills workshop leader, and fellowship faculty and lecturer at ChristianaCare and affiliated health care institutions. She has interests in gender affirming and culturally competent care, point of care ultrasound and leads the Global Health track at ChristianaCare for all residency programs.
