Arsalan Sheikh, DO, MBA, FACE

Arsalan Sheikh, DO, MBA, FACE, is chief medical officer of ChristianaCare’s Union Hospital. In this role, Dr. Sheikh works as the senior physician executive of the hospital, responsible for safety, care standardization, quality control, clinical outcomes and patient experience across the continuum of care. He serves as the liaison between operational leadership, medical staff and the broader community.

Dr. Sheikh is a dedicated and experienced physician leader and endocrinologist. Before joining the ChristianaCare team as chief medical officer in 2024, he served as medical director of endocrinology, diabetes and metabolism for Luminis Health. Other previous leadership roles include service as vice president and chief medical officer for Grace Medical Center and physician advisor for Sinai Hospital of Baltimore. He also worked as chair of the Department of Medicine at Grace Medical Center.

Dr. Sheikh earned his medical degree from the New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine and a Master of Business Administration degree in healthcare management from the University of Delaware’s Alfred Lerner College of Business and Economics. He is a Fellow of the American Association of Clinical Endocrinology.
