Janice E. Nevin, M.D., MPH

Janice E. Nevin, M.D., MPH, is CEO emeritus of ChristianaCare. She served as president and CEO from 2014 to 2026, capping nearly 25 years with the organization. During her tenure, ChristianaCare expanded its services and programs across Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey and Pennsylvania and advanced its work in quality and safety, patient experience, virtual health, value-based care and population health. She also championed ChristianaCare's values of Love and Excellence.

Under Dr. Nevin's leadership, ChristianaCare developed CareVio®, a data-driven care coordination platform designed to address patients' medical, social and behavioral health needs, and eBrightHealth ACO, an accountable care organization focused on improving care coordination, clinical quality and value.

Her honors include selections to Modern Healthcare's 100 Most Influential People in Healthcare in 2023 and 2024, 50 Most Influential Clinical Executives five times and Top 25 Women Leaders three times. She also received the Delaware Business Times 2023 CEO of the Year award for large nonprofit organizations and was named a Most Admired CEO by the Philadelphia Business Journal in 2022.

Dr. Nevin joined ChristianaCare in 2002 as chair of the Department of Family and Community Medicine. She graduated from Harvard University, earned her medical degree with honors from Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University and completed her family medicine residency at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. She earned her Master of Public Health degree from the University of Pittsburgh.
