Karen joined the transplant team in 2022 and is an integral part of the ongoing care of our patients. As a nurse and mother, she understands the important role of the support person and family in the decisions related to End Stage Kidney Disease. She is a compassionate and caring provider to patients as they navigate the complex transplant journey.

Karen obtained her B.S. in Nursing from the University of Delaware. She began her career as a staff RN in the Coronary Intensive Care Unit, Cardiac Disease Management and Cardiovascular Research with ChristianaCare. She then continued her education to complete her Master of Science in Nursing (M.S.N.) with a concentration in Family Nurse Practitioner from Wilmington University. She pursued a specialty as a Staff Nurse Research Coordinator and Nurse Practitioner with Nephrology Associates.
