Shakir Hussein, M.D.

Dr. Hussein is a board-certified general and transplant surgeon with nearly 15 years of experience dedicated to helping patients receive the gift of renewed health through organ transplantation. He performs organ transplants and retrievals and provides compassionate care for adults and seniors with complex conditions requiring organ replacement.

Dr. Hussein earned his medical degree from the University of Khartoum in Sudan and completed surgical training at the Cleveland Clinic’s Huron Hospital, followed by advanced fellowships in multi-organ transplant and hepatobiliary surgery at Columbia University, ASAN Medical Center in Seoul, and the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.
