Stephen Guy, M.D., FACS

Dr. Guy is the Associate Chief of surgery for the Kidney Transplant Program. As a transplant surgeon, he supports our patients as they make their decision about transplant, performs transplant surgery, and manages their post-surgical care. He brings with him extensive experience as the Surgical Director of Kidney Transplantation at Tower Transplant Institute in Reading, Pennsylvania.

Dr. Guy received his B.A. from Boston University and his M.D. from Boston University School of Medicine. He completed his surgical residency at Beth Israel Medical Center in NYC and his American Society of Transplant Surgeons approved Multi-Organ Transplantation and Hepatobiliary Surgery Fellowship at the Mount Sinai Hospital Recanati/Miller Transplantation Institute in NYC. He was instrumental in developing minimally invasive, laparoscopic living donor nephrectomy for kidney transplantation.

Dr. Guy has published extensively and lectured nationally regarding numerous research initiatives and clinical aspects of kidney and liver transplant surgery.
