Your Belongings

To ensure that your belongings stay secure, please follow the following guidelines:

  • Don't leave important items such as eyeglasses, hearing aids, or dentures on your bed, under your pillow, or on the bedside table - they can fall or get lost.
  • Small items can be placed in labeled containers in your bedside drawer.
  • If you bring clothes from home, keep them in the closet, bedside drawer, or your suitcase.
  • Remember to bring any clothes you may bring home with you - clothes left behind will be thrown away for safety reasons.
  • Please send any valuables - such as jewelry, watches, money, and credit cards - home with family.
  • If you must keep valuables during your stay, don't leave them in your room during tests or surgery.

ChristianaCare is not responsible for lost valuables or personal property. If you lose something, contact Lost and Found.

Your Meals

There are a variety of options for your meals that take into account religious and cultural practices, allergies, special diets, and your doctor's orders. Your care team will help you choose your meals, or you can order your meals using the CBORD Patient app on your mobile device. It is available for download in the App Store or Google Play.

Please do not order food for delivery. The hospital cannot accept food deliveries, bring them to your room, or provide refunds.
