New Cough & Cold Line

Due to the increase in respiratory illness in our community -- flu, RSV and COVID-19 -- ChristianaCare has set up a new COUGH & COLD LINE to help you out! If you are 18 and older and don’t feel well, CALL 302-623-7400, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Through a series of prompts, the ChristianaCare COUGH & COLD LINE will provide helpful info on how best to manage your cold, flu and COVID-19 symptoms at home. We’ll also guide you on when you should seek care.

Through the ChristianaCare COUGH & COLD LINE, we can help connect you with a ChristianaCare virtual primary care provider.

If your need is more urgent, there are 16 ChristianaCare Go-Health Urgent Care Centers in DE and MD. Save your spot in line or set up a virtual visit.

Summer Volunteens

The Summer VolunTeen Program at ChristianaCare offers a variety of ways for students between the ages of 14 and 18 to make a difference through service to their community. VolunTeens are a vital resource, bringing talent and a fresh perspective, and a shared sense of commitment that benefits our patients, families, and caregivers. In exchange, VolunTeens will acquire new and innovative skill sets to support them through their school, career, and life journey.

Application and Information

Program Duration: This is a 9-week program that runs June 16 – August 15, 2025.
Eligibility: You must have completed the 9^th grade by June 2025 and currently be enrolled in a high school academic program.
Commitment: Students are required to complete at least 7 weeks of the 9-week program and complete (2) 4-hours shifts for a total of 8-hours per week. Thus, you are required to complete a total of at least 56 hours for the duration of the program. Shifts run Monday-Friday between the hours of 8:00a – 4:00p. Shift times may vary depending on department needs.
Attendance: You are expected to be available for all your scheduled shifts. If you are not available at your designated time, you must notify your supervisor and schedule an agreed time to make up your hours.
Timekeeping: You will be required to log all your volunteer hours via the volunteer administrative database.
Compliance: You must comply with all medical requirements, evaluations, education, and other items as necessary.

Students must complete an open enrollment form to apply for a chance to participate in the 2025 program.

The 2025 program will provide opportunities across multidisciplinary areas within the organization.
