Capture the special moment with your newborn and create memories that you can both look back on years later by having beautiful, professional photographs taken at the beginning of your journey together.

ChristianaCare partners with the professional photographers of Bella Baby Photography to provide newborn-photography services to patients who request it.

If you change your mind, miss your appointment or need to contact a Bella Baby photographer for any reason during or after your hospital stay, call 877-817-8830 or email customer support support@bellababyphotography.com.

How Does it Work?

Usually on the day before your discharge, a photographer will visit you in your hospital room and ask if you would like photos taken of your baby. Your photos will be posted on the Bella Baby website, and you will be given an online password so that the photos can only be viewed by you and whomever you share the password with.

Your photos will be available online for 14 days, during which time you may choose to order prints, birth announcements or other photo merchandise.

Tips for a Successful Photoshoot

  • Bring your favorite baby blanket or afghan from home for use in the photo shoot. A beautiful blanket can add texture, color and memories to your newborn’s photo.
  • The photographers will often include a parent’s hands in the photos. Wear clear or neutral polish on the day of your shoot.
  • We want your baby to be the focus of the photos. Bring a solid black, brown or grey shirt or cami for you to wear in photos. The photographer may photograph your baby in your arms. These colors look great in both color and black-and-white prints.
