APRNs serve the primary care community and the acute care population.
APRNs are employed in all service lines serving the ambulatory practices primary care community and the acute care population. (Link APC page) They serve as either direct care providers within the medical groups and physicians to a wide variety of patient populations or as . APRNS are leaders in the nursing profession. They can be found educating and mentoring as educators and mentors to RNs and other medical professionals, participating in research and quality improvement projects, and have the opportunity to serving on councils and committees throughout ChristianaCare.
APRN Council includes representatives from the service lines across the health system. Representatives include Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists, Clinical Nurse Specialists, Certified Nurse Midwives, and Nurse Practitioners from both acute care and community care services. The council provides support for APRNs through participation in and promotion of advanced practice professional interests including legislative, practice, educational opportunities, and onboarding.
