This dynamic event is designed to provide insight into cutting edge topics in Neonatal/Perinatal Medicine. This year’s lectureship includes new technology to support development of extremely preterm infants after birth, trends in parental vitamin K refusal, skin care for extremely preterm infants, and the role of trauma-informed care in neonatal intensive care.

Continuing Medical Education (CME) Guidelines

All education must be geared toward a physician audience All education must have a physician Activity Director and a planning committee Determine the length and type of education (1 day conference, a recurring series, self-paced, etc.)
All disclosures forms must be completed by all planning committee members and speakers to apply for CME.
All documentation listed in the application will need to be submitted with the application to apply for CME.
CME applications must be completed and returned to the CME office 60 days in advance of the anticipated start date.

The ChristianaCare Office of CME coordinates a variety of learning opportunities including regularly scheduled series (RSS), 1-day conferences and enduring materials. All activities are accredited by the Medical Society of Delaware MSD). MSD is an accredited provider of AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™.

What credit is offered

ChristianaCare, currently, only offers the AMA PRA Category 1 Physician CME credit, through joint providership with the Medical Society of Delaware. All CME events must follow the ACCME’s standards regarding academic need, outcomes, and demonstration of impact on physician competence, performance and/or patient outcomes. The AMA PRA Category 1 credit can be issued to and used by other caregivers; however, all education must be geared toward a physician driven audience.

FAQs

Currently, we only offer the AMA PRA Category 1 Physician Credit

Any educational activity that is geared toward maintaining, developing, or increasing the knowledge and skills of a physician learner.

Yes. Non-physician learners can claim the CME credit, it is the responsibility of those learners to submit their certificates to their accrediting bodies for the credit transfer

All CME credits are housed in your personal account with the Medical Society of Delaware. No CME certificates are kept in the CME office

No. All the conferences are awarded a 1-day CME offering. Therefore, to claim CME, you must be present (either in person or virtually)
