Privileges Moderate Sedation Requirements

Privileges

Moderate and Deep Sedation privileges at ChristianaCare are governed by Medical-Dental Staff Policy.

Your request for sedation privileges will be granted after the privilege request form along with the successful completion of the tests and evidence of airway management skills are reviewed by the Chair, Department of Anesthesia and approved by the indicated Department Chair.

Moderate Sedation Requirements

Privilege Request Form

Initial Privileges
  • Review of Video (see above) and completion of Test.
  • Current ACLS, ATLS, PALS or NRP as appropriate.
  • Demonstration of Airway Management skills in Vest Lab.
  • Completion of Learning Space Module: Procedural Sedation-Providers Annual Maintenance.
Annual Maintenance
  • Please reference the Sedation, Privileging Policy.
