Did You Know...
Delaware has the nation’s second longest average emergency department wait times and one of the highest percentage of patients who leave the ED without treatment.
The ChristianaCare Wilmington Hospital Campus experiences these challenges every day. Because the Emergency Department is a critical component of the city’s health system, these statistics are especially concerning.
With your support, this expansion will make a real difference for our Wilmington neighbors by:
- Providing faster care: By easing pressure on the Wilmington Hospital Campus’ Emergency Department, those with the most serious needs can be seen quickly and safely.
- Reducing long waits: Guiding patients with less urgent needs to the right place for care will ease crowding and cut down on frustrating wait times.
- Creating a better experience for patients and families: Timely care in a more comfortable, appropriate setting leads to less stress, greater peace of mind, and fewer patients leaving before they are seen.
