Chaney Stewman, M.D. specializes in sports medicine at ChristianaCare and is the associate director of the Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship program and a Team Physician for the University of Delaware varsity athletes. Dr. Stewman is board-certified in family medicine and sports medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine since 2014 and 2015, respectively. She specializes in the following conditions: general musculoskeletal injuries and pain; sports-related injuries; musculoskeletal ultrasound for diagnosis and treatment; sports related concussion; and osteoporosis.
Dr. Stewman earned her medical degree from Jefferson Medical College in 2009. She started her residency training in radiology at Pennsylvania State University Hershey Medical Center, and then ultimately completed a family medicine residency at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in 2014. She completed her sports medicine fellowship at ChristianaCare in 2015 and ultimately returned as faculty for the fellowship program starting in 2016.
Dr. Stewman is a member of the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine, American Academy of Family Physicians and Pennsylvania Academy of Family Physicians.
