Elise Hogan M.D., MPH is a Family Medicine physician at ChristianaCare. Dr. Hogan received her BS in Biochemistry from Clemson University, and then attended Thomas Jefferson University for her Masters in Public Health. She completed her medical education at Jefferson Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University, graduating in 2012. She graduated from the Family Medicine Residency Program at ChristianaCare in 2015. As a native of Delaware, she is excited to return to her home state after practicing for several years in Pennsylvania.
Dr. Hogan has been involved in academic medicine since graduating from residency. She was a core faculty physician at Crozer-Keystone Family Medicine Residency Program, where she was the Medical Student Clerkship Director. She was also the Director of Undergraduate Medical Education, overseeing 24 clinical campus students from Drexel University. Now back at Christiana, she has assumed the role of Predoctoral Director, using her skills to oversee the numerous medical students that rotate through the Family Medicine department.
Her other academic interests include quality and safety, an interest that started with the ACT course at Christiana she took as a resident, and have since been broadened through further coursework with the Armstrong Institute through Johns Hopkins. Her clinical interests include forming long-term relationships with her patients to focus on caring for their chronic conditions.
