Since 2018, Jenn Schwartz has played a leading role in advancing ChristianaCare’s growth, transformation and long‑term sustainability. As executive vice president and chief strategy officer, she guides ChristianaCare through a rapidly evolving health care landscape by aligning strategy, growth and financial planning with the organization’s mission of caring for the community.
Jenn was promoted to Executive Vice President in January 2026 after previously serving as both chief strategy officer and legal officer. She is responsible for enterprise‑wide strategic planning and execution, with an emphasis on value‑based care, ambulatory growth, clinical integration, partnerships and regional expansion.
She leads the development of ChristianaCare’s ambulatory health network, designed to meet people where they are while recognizing growth and transformation as core strategic aspirations for the organization. This model expands access through physician networks, neighborhood hospitals, outpatient campuses, ambulatory surgery centers, and care‑at‑home programs to reduce reliance on inpatient care while keeping care close to home.
Under Jenn’s leadership, ChristianaCare has developed several strategic partnerships and joint ventures with innovative care delivery models that improve outcomes while lowering the total cost of care. These efforts include value‑based arrangements such as Curascend, a joint venture with Highmark Health, as well as ChristianaCare’s Medicare and Medicaid accountable care organizations.
In addition to her strategy role, Jenn’s responsibilities also include oversight of Corporate Compliance, Population Health, the Center for Virtual Health, and the Gene Editing Institute.
Jenn currently serves on the board of Serviam Girls Academy, a tuition-free, private middle school in Wilmington, Delaware.
Before joining ChristianaCare, Jenn was vice president of legal affairs and general counsel for Lourdes Health System and chief executive director of the LHS Health Network Accountable Care Organization. As chief executive director, she built one of New Jersey’s largest Accountable Care Organizations consisting of over 200 primary care physicians.
Earlier in her career, Jenn was a partner at Fox Rothschild, LLP, and Gluck Walrath, LLP, representing hospitals and providers in areas such as health care reform, physician alignment, reimbursement, regulatory compliance, strategic affiliations and risk management.
Jenn earned her Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Widener University School of Law, where she served as Editor‑in‑Chief of the Widener Law Review, and holds a bachelor’s degree from Denison University.
