Dr. Yoav Tal is a practicing Hospitalist and Unit Based Medical Director for Wilmington Campus’ Stepdown floor. Dr. Tal went to Oberlin College where he graduated with a degree in Economics and Third World Studies. After graduation Dr. Tal worked in the International Development field, working on program development in a variety of countries including Ethiopia, Georgia, and Liberia and conducted economic research on post disaster development.

For his next step Dr. Tal decided to pursue a career in medicine and enrolled at the Medical School for International Health at Ben Gurion University in southern Israel. During that time Dr. Tal remained active with educational volunteering while pursuing his medical education. For residency, Dr. Tal returned to Bryn Mawr (where he completed his post-bac studies) and graduated in 2013.

Since graduation Dr. Tal has worked as a hospitalist and spends significant time with Family Practice residents, first at St. Francis and now at ChristianaCare. Aside from sports and athletics, Dr. Tal is passionate about teaching and integrating some of his economics background to rounds.
