At ChristianaCare, we are committed to providing affordable, high-quality care that is valued by the neighbors we serve.

As part of an effort to increase transparency and visibility into the estimated out-of-pocket costs for your upcoming services, we will be providing an estimate and asking for payment, if applicable, at the time of your check-in.  

The patient portion to be requested on arrival is based on your remaining deductible for the benefit year, any applicable coinsurance or copays, and the estimated charges for your scheduled treatment or service.  If you would like to learn more, our dedicated Financial Counselors will be able to answer questions about your estimate no later than 3 business days prior to your date of service.   • Highmark BCBS & Highmark Medicare
  • Independence BC / Amerihealth HMO/PPO
  • Blue Card (BCBS Out-of-State)
  • Cigna HMO/PPO and Cigna Healthspring Medicare
  • Aetna HMO/PPO and Aetna Medicare
  • United Healthcare HMO/PPO and UHC Medicare

If you have other insurance, including traditional Medicare, Medicaid, or Managed Medicaid, you may disregard this message.

We understand that paying your out-of-pocket expenses at the time of treatment may not always be possible.  If you are unable to pay at the time of service, your treatment will still go ahead as scheduled.
