Cough & Cold Line

In anticipation of an increase in respiratory illness in our community -- flu, RSV and COVID-19 -- ChristianaCare has set up a new COUGH & COLD LINE to help you out! If you are 18 and older and don’t feel well, CALL 302-623-7400, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Through a series of prompts, the ChristianaCare COUGH & COLD LINE will provide helpful info on how best to manage your cold, flu and COVID-19 symptoms at home. We’ll also guide you on when you should seek care.

Through the ChristianaCare COUGH & COLD LINE, we can help connect you with a ChristianaCare virtual primary care provider.

If your need is more urgent, there are 16 ChristianaCare Go-Health Urgent Care Centers in DE and MD. Save your spot in line or set up a virtual visit.

When your care provider says you're ready to leave the hospital:

They will go over your discharge instructions with you and your support person.
You can ask to get your prescriptions from our retail pharmacy.
If you need your medical records, call (302) 733-1111 in Newark and (302) 320-2212 in Wilmington.
Ask your care team if you have any questions about your discharge.

If you're at the Newark location, your care team will take you to the front of the hospital and you can wait in the Discharge Lounge until your ride arrives. Please note that no medical care will be given in the Discharge Lounge, and your ride must pick you up by 7 pm. To contact the Discharge Lounge, call (302) 733-3541.

After Your Stay

We want to you to have a successful transition home from the hospital! If you need help with medicines, follow-up care, discharge instructions, or other post-hospital needs, please call the ChristianaCare Discharge Hotline at (302) 623-1000.
