Empowering Victims of Lived Violence

EVOLV (Empowering Victims of Lived Violence) is a hospital-based violence intervention program (HVIP) at ChristianaCare. EVOLV takes a trauma-informed approach to assist patients treated in the Trauma Department or Emergency Department.

The EVOLV team includes advocates who will help navigate the path to physical and emotional healing.

For Patients

The EVOLV Team can:

  • Schedule appointments and be with you for medical and non-medical appointments.
  • Help you make changes in desired areas of your life.
  • Visit you and be someone to talk with who understands your experience.
  • Check on you when you are at home while working on goals.
Eligibility:
  • 13 years of age or older
  • Resident of New Castle County
  • Gunshot wound (GSW)
  • Stabbing wounds
  • Violent blunt assault from altercation
Referrals:
  • ChristianaCare providers should complete a Vocera template referral request for EVOLV-HVIP CHW Referral.
  • You will be contacted within 2 days.
