If you have a wound that won’t heal, the Wound Care & Hyperbaric Medicine Center may be able to help. Our surgical and non-surgical care is for wounds that resist regular treatment and includes services like skin substitutes and hyperbaric oxygen therapy.

The Wounds We Treat

We provide care for chronic, non-healing wounds that have not shown improvement. These include:

  • Arterial Ulcers
  • Burn injuries
  • Chronic osteomyelitis with open wounds
  • Chronic venous ulcers
  • Diabetic foot ulcers
  • Neuropathic ulcers
  • Pressure injury.
  • Radiation related tissue damage with open wounds
  • Non-healing surgical wounds
  • Traumatic wounds.
  • Vasculitis and other inflammatory ulcers

A Specialized, Interdisciplinary Wound Care Team

Our skilled team evaluates, treats, heals, and helps to prevent wounds from coming back. Our interdisciplinary team includes 18 board-certified specialty providers, and registered nurses who are wound care specialists. All diagnostic tests can be done within the ChristianaCare System.

Collaboration with Your Primary Care Physician

Our staff and physicians will coordinate with your provider to obtain any necessary information and routinely communicate how your treatment is progressing.

We Work With Your Insurance to Get the Wound Care You Need

We will work collaboratively with your insurance company to get you the care you need. We encourage you to check with your insurance regarding referrals or preauthorization.
