As ChristianaCare reimagines health care, we recognize that new models of care, such as neighborhood hospitals, can help us deliver the right care at the right place and in the right time. We are creating a neighborhood hospital to supply critical emergency services when you need them most.

To make access to health care easy and convenient for our neighbors in southeastern Pennsylvania, we must meet them where they are – close to home. And the neighborhood hospital model of care maintains our high standards for excellence, safety, service and affordability.

Our new 20,000-square-foot facility will be open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.  We’ll have a 10-bed inpatient unit for those who require overnight hospital stays, observation and testing.

The emergency department will treat common emergency care needs such as falls, injuries, heart attacks and strokes. Patients needing care for more acute problems or require surgery, will be transferred to a larger hospital to receive a higher level of care.

We expect to open this in Spring 2025.
