The Medical Group

Bettering support for physicians and to serve patients effectively.

Who We Are

The purpose of the Medical Group is to deliver safe, compassionate, coordinated care to the patients and communities ChristianaCare serves.

The Medical Group comprises a large employed workforce, including more than 850 physicians and more than 500 employed advanced practice clinicians. Together, they provide care across a wide range of specialties and settings, supporting ambulatory practices, hospital campuses, free-standing emergency departments and many community health programs. They are the foundation of ChristianaCare’s physician enterprise.

The Medical Group’s impact extends far beyond its physicians and advanced practice clinicians. It is strengthened by a multidisciplinary team that supports ambulatory patient care, including nurses, medical assistants, behavioral health clinicians, care coordinators, social workers, administrative professionals, and other clinical, operational and embedded service partners. Together, these caregivers and team members work to deliver seamless, high-quality care for every patient.
