Obstetrics and Gynecology
The obstetrics/gynecology rotation is designed to provide experience for solid basic education in OB/GYN. It provides core experience for 3rd year students with the option of short-time electives/subspecialty for 4th years for entire rotation.
3rd and 4th year medical students
3rd year medical student rotations are open only to students from Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University and The Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. Arrangements for these rotations should initially be made through the student’s medical school. Preference is given to those students enrolled in the ChristianaCare Branch Campus program.
4th year students may apply for 4-week electives in Maternal Fetal Medicine, Gynecologic Oncology, or Urogynecology. Acceptance is based on a competitive application process. Applications are accepted after January 1st for the coming academic year. Decisions are made on rolling basis and all final decisions are made by the Residency Program Director and OB/GYN faculty. The link below can be used to access the application for 4th year medical student electives.
