Miscarriage and Loss

Losing your baby is one of the most distressing experiences you’ll ever go through. We are here to help.

Miscarriage refers to pregnancy loss before the 20th week of pregnancy. As many as 10-20% of all pregnancies are estimated to end in miscarriage. Most of these occur in the first 13 weeks of pregnancy. This is understandably a difficult and painful time.

If you experience a miscarriage, we offer compassionate, therapeutic options that keep your safety, discomfort and healing at the forefront, including:

  • Medical management – You can choose whether to let your body end the pregnancy on its own or receive medication to help with the process.
  • Surgical management – Available in the office or in the operating room under sedation.

In all cases, we offer counseling and assistance focusing on helping you to meet your emotional and physical needs.

There are probably many hard questions going through your mind. There are some decisions that you may need to make depending on the length of your pregnancy.
Creating lasting memories of the short time you had with your baby can help you navigate through the journey of grief and healing.
Going through a trauma such as losing a baby can leave someone feeling depressed and unable to think clearly about the steps that must follow. As part of this, building up the strength to ask for help can be difficult, but can make things a little easier.
