Giving students the opportunity to observe and participate.

Course Description

Exposure to the combined specialty of med-peds.


Expectations and Responsibilities

In the ambulatory setting will be responsible for seeing patients before the attending and present history and physical to the attending and write notes on patients.

Unique Attributes

Students will have the opportunity to work with 8-12 different med peds attendings and residents in multiple inpatient/outpatient practice types and settings including the resident practice and the Center for Special Health Care Needs.

Additional Information

June-September.

2 to 4 weeks.

4th year students.

1 to 2 depending on block.

Predominantly outpatient; some inpatient.

Wilmington Hospital, Outpatient Offices.

Generally, 8-5; may include evening patients, sessions, meetings.

A car is required for this rotation.

  • Professional attire is required in clinical and patient care settings.
  • White coats should be worn, and students must always have their school ID and ChristianaCare ID visible.
