Resources to make your stay pleasant and comfortable.

Language Services

We want you and your family to understand everything about your health, and are proud to offer free interpreters for languages other than English, including ASL. Interpreters are available in person, by phone, or by video.

Mail & Deliveries

If you get mail or gifts during your stay, they will be delivered to your room. When you leave the hospital, mail will be forwarded to your address.

Please keep the following guidelines in mind for flowers and balloons:

  • Some units don't allow flowers. If flowers are delivered to these areas, they may be left on the nurses' station.
  • No lilies or latex balloons are permitted in the hospital, as they may be harmful to some patients.
  • Mylar balloons are permitted.

Spiritual Care & Chaplain Services

Chaplains: Our chaplains come from many faiths and are here to support you. They work closely with your care team to help with your spiritual needs.

Community Spiritual Care: Faith leaders from your own community are welcome to visit you. 

Quiet Spaces for Prayer & Meditation: You can visit our meditation space for quiet time or prayer. In Newark, this space is located in the main lobby near the A/B elevators. In Wilmington, the space is located near the main lobby. 

Islamic Prayer Time: The meditation space is reserved for Islamic prayer every Friday from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm. 

Patient Relations

Your hospital stay should be a positive experience. If you have a question or concern that cannot be resolved by speaking with your care team, representatives from Patient Relations are available to listen and assist between 8:00 am and 4:30 pm.
