Undergraduate Medical Education

Delaware Branch Campus

Offering strong culture of teaching and opportunity to build community.

Providing Opportunities

ChristianaCare is designated as a participating hospital at both Sidney Kimmel Medical College and Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in offering students the opportunity to complete their 3rd and 4th year clinical rotations exclusively at ChristianaCare through the Delaware Branch Campus Program.

The Delaware Branch Campus at the ChristianaCare provides a unique opportunity for students to rotate at a combined top-rated tertiary care medical center and growing inner city community hospital. Training is offered at the Center for Heart & Vascular Health, The Helen F. Graham Cancer Center, Women’s and Children’s Health Services and the Breast Center.

ChristianaCare offers a strong culture of teaching and opportunity to build community. Students are a valued team member and work directly with fully engaged faculty and residents. Students experience opportunity to build personal relationships and receive one-on-one mentoring with faculty and receive personalized Letters of Recommendation.

Our commitment to exploring the science of medicine keeps clinicians at the top of their specialties and attracts the best and the brightest to serve as faculty and mentors in our fully accredited undergraduate student rotations.

ChristianaCare is where tomorrow’s health care providers learn state-of-the-art medical care.

Students who have participated in the Delaware Branch Campus have matched in well-established residency programs nationally in the top five specialties of family medicine, internal medicine, anesthesiology, emergency medicine and pediatrics.

Students interested in applying to the Delaware Branch Campus from Sidney Kimmel Medical College and Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, should contact us at UME@ChristianaCare.org.
