Fellowships
ChristianaCare offers three appointments each year to the Fellowship.
Accreditation
ChristianaCare’s three-year Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship Program is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) and is designed to provide the knowledge and clinical skills necessary to pass the American Board of Internal Medicine Subspecialty Examination in Cardiovascular Diseases. Graduate fellows will be fully prepared to enter clinical practice or to pursue further academic training.

Application Process
ChristianaCare offers three appointments each year to the Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship.
Call Schedule
Nephrology fellows take call from home every fourth night on average.
Clinical Rotations
For each four-week block, a nephrology fellow is assigned a supervising nephrology attending.
Competencies
The fellows must demonstrate competency in each of the six categories of objectives as defined by the ACGME.
Computer and Library Services
Fellows are able to access the hospital intranet and the World Wide Web from the more than 1,500 computer terminals.
Conferences and Teaching
A core cardiology lecture series, board review and ECG reading conferences are offered along with subspecialty conferences and teaching rounds.
